Mila on top of the world

Mila Kunis has been named the sexiest woman alive by Esquire magazine in its November issue.

The 29-year-old actress is perhaps best known for her role as Jackie Burkhart on That ’70s Show and as the voice of Meg on TV’s Family Guy, as well as roles in films such as Friends With Benefits and Ted.
Kunis was born in the Ukraine to Elvira and Mark Kunis, who tried to raise their family as Jewishly as possible, although they faced much antisemitism living in the Soviet Union.

Anti-Jewish sentiment was one of the main reasons the family decided to move to the United States when Mila was seven.

In a recent interview with Britain’s Sun newspaper, Kunis said that many members of her family were in the Holocaust. Her grandparents survived, but many of her other relatives did not.

As a child, Kunis’ parents raised her to know that she was Jewish, but she was forced to hide her religion from her peers in the U.S.S.R. for fear of being ridiculed.

Now, she’s a world-famous actress and one of the biggest names in Hollywood.
