Goldberg and Rogen plan a sausage party

Fresh off their $100-million hit summer film, This Is The End, comes word that writing partners Evan Goldberg and Vancouver's own Seth Rogen are teaming up again for a new R-rated animated film titled Sausage Party.

Planned as a co-production for Sony and Megan Ellison’s Annapurna Pictures, it will tell the tale of a sausage who falls out of a shopping cart and must find his way back to his aisle before a big July Fourth sale. Along the way, he learns about himself and the nature of his existence.

Jewish funnyman Jonah Hill will be among the executive producers. The projected release date is 2015.

While we always look forward to new and exciting stuff from two of our favourite young Jewish laugh-meisters, wouldn't it be great to revisit the stories and characters from some of their earlier work together?

They blue-skied about just that during their U.K. press tour for This Is The End, when they talked about 
sequels to some of the funniest comedies from the last few years. Take a look:
