Neshama Carlebach with an anthem for all?

Neshama Carlebach, daughter of the late Rabbi Shlomo Carlebach, is attempting to aid the Forward daily paper in building bridges with Israel's Arab population.

The singer has been asked to launch a musical conversation over the words of Hatikvah, focusing on whether including new more inclusive lyrics in the national anthem will make Arab Israelis feel more a part of Israeli society.

The changes are identified by the blue lyrics in the video above.
