Leonard Nimoy gets lazy

Leonard Nimoy stars in a new alternate version of Bruno Mars’ newest hit tune, The Lazy Song.

After releasing the official music video in April, Mars released the alternate video earlier this week.

In this version, Nimoy, better known as Spock from the original Star Trek series, plays himself as a grumpy, lazy old man who does nothing all day but hang around in his bathrobe, scare children at grocery stores and practice the Vulcan salute (which has its roots in a Jewish tradition) in the mirror.

The Lazy Song from Bruno Mars’ album Doo-Wops & Hooligans was released as a single in February and has sold over a million digital copies alone, and is currently sitting at No. 6 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
