Fox fired over Hitler comment

The world was surprised last year when it was announced that Megan Fox would not be returning to the Transformers franchise, for the third installment of the grossly popular Transformers movies.

While no reason was given for why Fox was leaving the franchise, it was speculated that Fox was fired, as it was obvious that her and director Michael Bay did not get along.

Now, a year after her ouster, Bay puts the rumors to rest, and explains why Fox was fired.

According to Bay, Steven Spielberg, one of the producers of the film, caught wind that in an interview, Fox compared Bay’s strictness on set, to the likes of Hitler.

Outraged, Spielberg demanded that Fox be fired.

Although he was not personally offended by the comments, Bay agreed to fire Fox, and later replaced her with lingerie model Rosie Huntingdon-Whitley.

Transformers: Dark of the Moon is set to be released in early July, and is expected to be a 2011 summer Hollywood blockbuster.
