Toronto's hip-hop mega star Drake was recognized on Sunday by MTV and his fans for the top honour in his category.
The best hip-hop video award for Hold On, We’re Going Home featuring Majid Jordan was presented by American hip-hop recording artist and actor Lonnie Rashid Lynn, Jr., better known as Common.
The MTV Video Music Awards were held at the Forum in Inglewood, Calif., and Common had to accept the award on Drake's behalf, as the Canadian rapper was back on the east coast performing in the Drake vs Lil Wayne tour, which runs until Sept. 27, when it wraps up in Woodlands, Texas.
Heebonics congratulates the hit-maker for continuously churning them out.
