British comic actor John Cleese, of Monty Python fame, has just signed on to appear in an Israeli film. The funnyman will play the part of an eccentric British lord in director Reshef Levy's upcoming movie "Hunting Elephants."
Apparently, the part was written with Cleese in mind, but it came as a surprise to the director when he accepted the role, Ynet reported.
"Hunting Elephants" tells the story of a young boy, Jonathan, who tries to pull of a heist at the bank his father worked at, after his father dies in an accident at the bank and they refuse to take responsibility for the death. Jonathan's only available partners in crime are three senior citizens.
Shooting is set to begin in July.
