Orthodox Jew carries torch in London

An orthodox Jew was among the 187 torch bearers to carry the Olympic torch through South London on Monday.

Twenty-two-year-old Efrayim Goldstein carried the torch for 330 metres, and stated that he wanted his run with the torch to be in memory of the 11 Israeli athletes who were murdered in the 1972 Olympics in Munich.

Goldstein, who is very active with charity work in his community, was given an official white Olympic yarmulke to go with the white Olympic sweatsuits given out to each torch bearer.
