Guns N' Roses play Hatikvah in Tel Aviv

1990s rock legends Guns N' Roses brought down the house at Tel Aviv's HaYarkon Park this past Tuesday.

The band paid tribute to Israel via a surprise number mid-set when guitarist Rob "Bumblefoot" Thal (originally Ronald Blumenthal) played his version of Hatikvah as the audience sang along. As the Israeli national anthem came to an end, the band transitioned into their hit song "Don't Cry."

The band's decision to play in Israel was one that many anti-Israel activists opposed, advocating for a cultural boycott of the Jewish state.
