Tel Aviv’s Hot Music Scene Comes to Ottawa

The Embassy of Israel in Canada is scheduled to bring one of Tel Aviv’s hottest bands, Boom Pam, to the TD Ottawa International Jazz Festival this summer.

According to the embassy, Boom Pam is a trio comprised of drums, an electric guitar, a tuba and has an eclectic sound that blends "groovy surf rock with sultry Middle Eastern beats."

Founded in 2003, Boom Pam takes its name from a famous song by Greek-Israeli singer, Aris San. It's the band's second visit to Ottawa since 2007. They are scheduled to play on Thursday June 28 at the OLG Stage. For more information, visit the band’s website or their Jazzfest festival page .

Is it just me, or does the guitarist look strikingly like Adrian Brody?
