Montreal signs Cammalleri

Back in March, a young fan of Heebonics posted one of our most trafficked blog entries to date on Mike Camalleri. At the time, he was playing for the Calgary Flames but now no longer. Camalleri will now make a home for himself a little further east. Yes NHL fans as you may know or be only just finding out by reading this update following Canada Day, general manager for the Montreal Canadiens Bob Gainey began rearranging his team. Gainey traded for possibly Canada's best centre to date. Cammalleri has been signed to a five year, $30 million dollar contract. He is no doubt greatly enjoying the substantial raise from the $3.6 million dollars he earned last season. In 364 career NHL games, the 27 year old Cammalleri has 132 goals and 155 assists.
