When it comes to award show categories the judging panel typically selects only one stand out performance. For those who missed it the 2009 MTV Movie Awards was shown last night. Host Andy Samberg ran a series of promo video's spoofing films for nomination consideration in each of the main acting and kitschy categories, from Best Male and Female performance to best fight sequence.
This was the best of the lot, a Holocaust inspired "gut wrenching drama" piece as Samberg puts it, in the category of Best Male performance, entitled "The One Who Dared to Leave".
Andy the Jew, scrubbing the floor of the barracks in what looks to be a Nazi concentration camp is confronted by the German soldier played by Eva Mendes aghast at Andy's defiance of the order she gives him.
