JUMP does it up Mimouna Style

The second annual Mimouna event was truly a unique way to un-officially break Passover (since the festival had really come to an end just a few days before) and reconnect with the Jewish young professional social scene of greater Toronto. A banqueting table full of traditional Moroccan foods filled the centre of the room. The JUMP staff and a few of the attendees were dressed in gandoras (for men) and kaftans (for ladies), attire often seen worn in Morocco. The lounge itself was transformed and adorned with Moroccan inspired artwork, satin covers and fixtures. Shortly after it began and until it wrapped, the volunteers worked the back kitchen serving beverages and sweet treats to the first-timers and JUMP regulars. The traffic through the centre was a sight to behold, as patrons schmoozed it up and were treated to some familiar live music well into the night. Get a taste of the event from this short clip.
