Like listening to your parents jokes?

Well, one Sam Hoffman went and decided he'd capture the humouric essence, the zeitgeist if you will, of anyone whose parents are boomers, Jewish and of a decidedly Ashkenazic bent. At least, that's how this thing is playing out so far.

The site, Old Jews Telling Jokes, has been making the viral rounds as it's passed along via e-mail to those of us who have a history, and hence a mild fascination with hearing folks of our parents' vintage toss out these Borscht Belt-era zingers with aplomb.

I have to admit, it's fun to wait for the inevitable punchlines, even if they are groan-inducing in some cases.
