The Samberg

From virtual obscurity to overnight celebrity, the newly-minted SNL star, Andy Samberg, has turned the phrase "digital short" into a comedic goldmine. If "Lazy Sunday" and "D**k in a Box" don't mean anything to you... wow. Go to Youtube or the SNL homepage right now and watch the videos of the same name. You'll "get" Samberg's writing genius very soon after. If you don't, may the lord have mercy on your soul.

The Onion has a terrific interview with Samberg that ranges all over the place. Unfortunately, the Q&A doesn't seem to capture his joie-de-vivre as much as it could. Still, it's a fun read for fans.

And if you still haven't gotten your fix, check out Samberg's original website, created with his two best friends, Akiva Schaffer and Jorma Taccone (who joined Samberg as writers on SNL),
at The Lonely Island.

Check out their failed sitcom pilot for FOX TV called Awesometown. Someone at FOX must have been asleep at the switch.
